A world made of Crystals

September 22nd is European Minerals Day!

Prof. Ian Parsons, Emeritus Professor of Mineralogy, is helping us celebrate by giving a talk on the wonderful world of minerals.

A world made of Crystals

“Our planet is almost entirely made of crystals. Crystals that occur naturally are called minerals. This talk will introduce the wonderful world of minerals, explore the reasons for their great variety, and explain how they contribute to our lives for every minute of every day. A wide range of minerals will be on display.”

12pm in Lochaber Geopark’s Visitor Centre, 22nd September.

This event is free.
