Excursion to the Rhue Peninsula

On Monday, 29th May, Lochaber Geopark Geology Group (LG3) are heading out on their next excursion.

Destination: Rhue Peninsula, Arisaig

Agenda: At 9.30am, we’ll meet in the carpark for the Ben Nevis Highland Centre (Woolen Mill) where we can leave cars for the day and arrange car sharing if necessary.

Alternatively meet at 10.30am at Cafe Rhu for a tea/coffee.

We’ll head out to see Morar Moine rocks, fault structures, dykes and cone sheets, beautiful coastal scenery and wildlife.

Please bring: Walking boots, waterproofs, packed lunch, wellies, cameras, binoculars, walking poles if desired.

Walking distances are expected to be around 8km.

Cost: A £5 donation to Lochaber Geopark, a £5 donation for transport if sharing, plus money for coffee/tea if desired.
