NTS Glen Coe Visitor Centre (plus comfort point, café, exhibition – if weather is bad we can include a geology talk here).
An Torr Car Park – Loop walk of about 3kms – mainly back road and good path – gives a good taste of Glen Coe – includes a quarry and river section.
View of lowest volcanics – Basal Andesite Sill Complex – 100m from road.
Queens Cairn viewpoint and flow-banded rhyolites, including a walk along part of the old military road.
This route then leaves the party at the top of Glen Coe on the A82 southbound.
There are many excellent viewpoints just off the road, any walking undertaken will be on good quality paths. This excursion can be tailored to the physical abilities of the group.
