Geological Excursion: Rubha na h’Earba Coast (Thurs 7th June)

Ever wanted to go across to Ardgour and uncover the Great Glen Fault volcanism, or see the unconformable contact between the older metamorphosed moine rock and the younger sediments that lie above?

Our next Geological excursion across to Ardgour down the coast to Rubha na h’Earba by Kilmalieu will be able to fulfil that. There will be a fantastic shoreline walk to see some dyke swarms, including a beautiful viewpoint.

Details:

  • Thursday 7th June
  • Meet at the Corran Ferry for 9.20am to share transport for 9.30am ferry
  • Please bring appropriate walking footwear and full waterproofs
  • Please take Lunch/food for a day out
  • Return time 5pm

The cost for ‘Friends of Lochaber Geopark’ is £10 per person, non-members are £25.
