A great start to the school holidays on Saturday – getting outside and Geocaching with our Earth Explorers. The Commando Memorial loop, Spean Bridge, includes scenic views of the Nevis Range mountains and Grey Corries, historic stops, a Lochaber Geopark interpretation panel and, most importantly, plenty of Geocaches! Clare, an experienced Geocacher, led us around the walk/ Geocaches whilst introducing us to Geocaching. She explained how caches are made, found,¬† recorded, and the different features of a cache. Being a respectful cacher, of the caches and surrounding environment, is a large part of Geocaching. Picking up litter along the route is a term referred to as “cache in, trash out”. Thank you, Clare, for the masterclass and hopefully, we will get out again soon.

TFTC (Thanks for the cache).
