Kilmallie Cub Scouts

Lochaber Geopark was asked by Kilmallie Cub Scouts to lead a session on geology. On Wednesday 22nd May the cubs were taken up Glen Nevis for an evening of activities related to geoscience. They were tasked with collecting three types of pebbles, three shapes of pebbles, pebble stacking and scientific drawing. All of these activities were to help them understand how rocks and the landscape were made millions of years ago and moved, and shaped, as recently as present time.

Please note all pebble stacks were dismantled after the trip!

It was a great evening with 15 kids in total. Thank you to Kilmallie Cub Scouts for the invite.
