Highland Primary STEM Conference

On Wednesday 20th February our staff geologist headed up to Dingwall to give a workshop at the Highland Primary STEM Conference in Ben Wyvis Primary School.

The workshop was ‘Earth: What Lies Beneath’ covering the structure of the earth, landscapes and human interaction with our planet’s resources. We used hands-on techniques to introduce these subjects to primary pupils, with the workshop being delivered to Primary teachers. Follow-up material has been given to Emily, the Highland Primary Science Development Officer for the RAiSE programme and will be available to the teachers that attended in due course.

Thank you to those who attended and for the invitation to take the workshop. With full class, we had double the amount that had originally signed-up!
