New Interpretation Panels!

In Onich a beautiful new picnic area has been made by Nether Lochaber Community Association. Two Lochaber Geopark interpretation panels have been installed, beside the benches, explaining the formation of the view across Loch Leven in two stages: the formation of the hard, ancient rocks on the left-hand panel and the much more recent carving of the mountains in the glacial period on the right. Thank you to Ian Parsons for writing the content, Ali Martin for the design and Neil Slinger and his colleagues for installing the panels. The grid reference of the panels is 050 611 and they are beside the Gleaner Petrol Station. We would also like to thank North  Ballachulish Community Association for allowing the installation of our new panels.
